Overview

The AWE Touring Edition Exhaust lets the EJ25 flat-four in the Subaru WRX STI deliver its famous rumble without the rasp or the in-cabin drone. AWE tuned this system specifically for the EJ25, so it is not just a repurposed VA WRX exhaust. It fits the 2015-2021 WRX STI sedan and the 2011-2014 Impreza WRX and WRX STI sedans.

The secret is AWE's patented 180 Technology®. Inside each rear section, exhaust pulses pass through tuned ports into reflection chambers and rejoin the main flow 180 degrees out of phase, cancelling the droning frequencies at highway speed while the straight-through core keeps flow high. You get a deep, aggressive BOXER® tone, crackles on every shift, and AWE-measured gains of up to 11 hp and 11 lb-ft of torque at the wheels.

The full 3-inch system is CNC mandrel-bent from U.S.-sourced .065-inch wall T304L stainless steel and welded in-house at AWE in the USA. It bolts straight to the factory mounts and finishes in four 102mm double-walled slash-cut tips that adjust individually for bumper depth.

Will it drone on the highway?
No. AWE tuned the Touring Edition to stay drone-free at cruise while still crackling on the shift.

Will it fit my car?
2015-2021 Subaru WRX STI Sedan; 2011-2014 Subaru Impreza WRX STI Sedan; 2011-2014 Subaru Impreza WRX Sedan. Sedans only.

Do I need a tune?
No. It is a bolt-on cat-back and AWE guarantees no check engine light.

Is it street legal?
The cat-back bolts on behind the factory catalytic converter and leaves every emissions device in place, and AWE lists the system as 50-state legal with no tune required. Sound limits still vary by state, so check the rules where you drive.

Fitment Notes

Built for U.S.-market EJ25 cars: the 2015-2021 Subaru WRX STI sedan (VA) and the 2011-2014 Impreza WRX and WRX STI sedans (GV).
AWE does not confirm fitment on GV-chassis hatchbacks; it fits sedans only. Not for the FA20 2015-2021 WRX or the 2022-and-later VB WRX.
AWE exhausts are not designed to mate with other aftermarket front pipes.
Direct bolt-on to the factory mounting points; no tune required.

Returns: Unused items in brand-new condition and original packaging can be returned within 30 days of the invoice date, with a 25% restocking fee unless otherwise specified. In some cases we can offer a lower fee with the balance as store credit. Shipping charges aren't refundable in either direction unless approved by AutoTalent.

Not returnable: special-order or custom items, and anything that has been installed, modified or altered.

Cancellations: free if the item is out of stock or we miss the ETA you agreed to. Other cancellations carry a 5% processing fee to cover card fees we can't recover. Special-order items can't be cancelled.

Damaged in transit? Report it to the carrier and to us within 48 hours, keep all packaging, and don't send anything back without our written approval.
