Overview

The AWE Touring Edition Exhaust is the drone-free way to wake up the 2015-2021 Subaru WRX. AWE built it around the FA20 turbo engine's own sound, so it is not a repurposed STI exhaust with a new part number. A full 3-inch straight-through layout with a resonated mid section feeds two tailored rear mufflers, giving the WRX a deeper, fuller BOXER® tone with crackles on the shift and none of the rasp that cheap exhausts bring.

At cruise the cabin stays calm enough to hold a conversation on the highway, which is why the Touring Edition is the daily-driver pick of the AWE WRX suite. Open it up and the flat-four comes alive, and AWE measured up to 8 hp and 4 lb-ft of torque at the wheels from the freer flow.

Every pipe is CNC mandrel-bent from U.S.-sourced .065-inch wall T304L stainless steel and welded in-house at AWE in the USA. It bolts to the factory mounts without cutting and finishes in four 102mm double-walled slash-cut tips that adjust individually for depth in the bumper.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will it drone on the highway?
No. AWE tuned the Touring Edition to stay drone-free at cruise while still crackling on the shift.

Will it fit my car?
2015-2021 Subaru WRX Sedan (Base, Premium, Limited). Sedans only.

Do I need a tune?
No. It is a bolt-on cat-back and AWE guarantees no check engine light.

Is it street legal?
The cat-back bolts on behind the factory catalytic converter and leaves every emissions device in place, and AWE lists the system as 50-state legal with no tune required. Sound limits still vary by state, so check the rules where you drive.

Is this the same exhaust as the STI version?
No. The WRX Touring is tuned for the FA20; the EJ25 cars use a separate Touring system.

Fitment Notes

Built for U.S.-market 2015-2021 Subaru WRX sedans (VA chassis) with the 2.0L FA20 turbo engine. AWE tuned this system for the WRX, so it is not the same part as the EJ25 STI Touring system.
Not for the 2022-and-later VB WRX, the VA WRX STI or any hatchback.
AWE exhausts are not designed to mate with other aftermarket front pipes.
Direct bolt-on to the factory mounting points; no tune required.

Shipping: Orders ship via UPS, FedEx or USPS, from our facility near Los Angeles or directly from the manufacturer. Rates for many items are weight-based and shown at checkout. If you need it by a certain date, text us before you order.

Returns: Unused items in brand-new condition and original packaging can be returned within 30 days of the invoice date, with a 25% restocking fee unless otherwise specified. In some cases we can offer a lower fee with the balance as store credit. Shipping charges aren't refundable in either direction unless approved by AutoTalent.

Not returnable: special-order or custom items, and anything that has been installed, modified or altered.

Cancellations: free if the item is out of stock or we miss the ETA you agreed to. Other cancellations carry a 5% processing fee to cover card fees we can't recover. Special-order items can't be cancelled.

Damaged in transit? Report it to the carrier and to us within 48 hours, keep all packaging, and don't send anything back without our written approval.
