The AWE Touring-to-Track Conversion Kit is AWE's solution: a simple bolt-on kit that removes the resonated front pipe and replaces it with a louder, non-resonated front pipe, turning your Touring Edition into a Track Edition.

It fits both the Mk7 (2015-2017) and Mk7.5 (2018-2021) GTI Touring Edition systems. The pipe is handcrafted from CNC mandrel-bent 3-inch U.S.-sourced .065" wall T304L stainless steel, engineered, designed and manufactured in-house by AWE, and backed by AWE's Lifetime Warranty and No Check Engine Light Guarantee. Because it reuses the rest of your system, it costs a fraction of a new exhaust. Remember that the result is a Track Edition: loud, rowdy and, per AWE, not returnable for sound preference once converted.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this kit work without an AWE exhaust?
No. It replaces the front pipe of an AWE Touring Edition cat-back for the Mk7 or Mk7.5 GTI. It is not a standalone exhaust.

How loud will my GTI be after converting?
You end up with AWE's Track Edition sound, which AWE warns is known to get rowdy. AWE ranks the Track Edition with an aftermarket downpipe as the loudest GTI combination.

Can I go back to Touring later?
Yes. Keep your original resonated front pipe and bolt it back in, or see the Track-to-Touring Conversion Kit.

Is it legal?
AWE lists this system as 50 State Legal because it does not tamper with any emissions control or monitoring devices; it bolts on behind the catalytic converters. AWE does not publish a CARB Executive Order number for it, and local sound limits vary, so check the rules where you drive.

Shipping: Orders ship via UPS, FedEx or USPS, from our facility near Los Angeles or directly from the manufacturer. Rates for many items are weight-based and shown at checkout. If you need it by a certain date, text us before you order.

Returns: Unused items in brand-new condition and original packaging can be returned within 30 days of the invoice date, with a 25% restocking fee unless otherwise specified. In some cases we can offer a lower fee with the balance as store credit. Shipping charges aren't refundable in either direction unless approved by AutoTalent.

Not returnable: special-order or custom items, and anything that has been installed, modified or altered.

Cancellations: free if the item is out of stock or we miss the ETA you agreed to. Other cancellations carry a 5% processing fee to cover card fees we can't recover. Special-order items can't be cancelled.

Damaged in transit? Report it to the carrier and to us within 48 hours, keep all packaging, and don't send anything back without our written approval.
