AWE Track Edition Exhaust for 2023-2026 Honda Civic Type R FL5

The AWE Track Edition Exhaust is the FL5 Civic Type R system for owners who want the loudest, rawest sound AWE builds for the car. It shares the Touring Edition's full 3-inch layout, integrated front pipe and resonated midpipe, but there is no muffler at the back. Instead, a straight 3-inch section feeds the stamped stainless trident merge and the three 4.5-inch double-walled slash-cut tips that keep the Type R's signature center exit.

Dropping the muffler makes the Track Edition the lightest option too: AWE weighs it at 36.5 lbs against 50.5 lbs for the factory system, a useful 14 lbs saved from the back of a front-drive car. The resonated midpipe stays to keep the K20C1 from sounding harsh, so the note is aggressive rather than tinny, with a sharp crackle on lift. The front pipe uses a unique flange and gasket to keep a true 3-inch path from inlet to outlet while bolting to the factory interface, and AWE measured up to 14 hp and 13 lb-ft at the wheels on the stock downpipe.

Every pipe is CNC mandrel-bent from U.S.-sourced .065-inch wall T304L stainless steel and welded at AWE, and installation needs no motor mount removal. Expect drone at highway speed: this is the system for track days, autocross and owners who want the Type R to be heard.

Do I need a tune?
No. It is a bolt-on cat-back and AWE guarantees no check engine light.

How do I look after Vapor Blue tips?
Vapor Blue tips carry no AWE warranty; wash them gently and do not use metal polish on them.

Can I make it quieter later?

Fitment Notes

• Built for U.S.-market 2023-2026 Honda Civic Type R (FL5) hatchbacks. AWE only confirms fitment on U.S. models, so it is not offered for other markets. It does not fit the FK8 Civic Type R, the FE1 Civic Si or the Acura Integra Type S (DE5).
• AWE developed the FL5 systems with and without aftermarket catted downpipes. No motor mount removal is needed to install.
• Direct bolt-on to the factory mounting points; no tune required.
