Brembo Big Brake Kits for Audi 8V A3 (2015-2020)

This page lists every Brembo big brake kit we offer for the third-generation Audi A3 (8V), sold in the US for the 2015-2020 model years. All five kits are front kits: a GT 4-piston kit on 345x30mm one-piece discs, a GT 4-piston kit on 355x32mm two-piece discs, a GT 6-piston kit on 355x32mm two-piece discs, and two PISTA 6-piston race kits, one on 355x32mm discs and one on 355x35mm discs. The 8V A3 is a compact sport sedan and convertible, and a Brembo front kit adds stopping power and heat capacity for spirited driving or track days. A Brembo system replaces the caliper and disc on the axle you choose with a matched caliper, disc and pad package, sold as a complete axle set.

The GT 4-piston kit with one-piece discs is the lowest-priced front kit and comes in black, red, yellow or fluorescent yellow, with drilled or Type 3 slotted discs. The 355mm GT 4-piston kit comes in black, red or silver, with drilled or Type 3 slotted discs. The GT 6-piston kit comes in black, red, silver, yellow, GT-S hard-anodized black or GT-R nickel-plated billet, with drilled or Type 3 slotted discs. The PISTA kits are Brembo's race systems, with disc springs and a centering ring: the 355x32mm kit uses a Type 3L slotted disc, and the 355x35mm kit comes with Type 3 or Type 5 slotted discs.

Choosing Your Kit

• Kit: Five front kits are listed first: a GT 4-piston kit on 345x30mm 1-piece discs, a GT 4-piston kit on 355x32mm discs, a GT 6-piston kit on 355x32mm discs, a PISTA 6-piston kit on 355x32mm discs, and a PISTA 6-piston kit on 355x35mm discs. Each kit name gives the axle, the system (GT or PISTA), the piston count and the disc size.
• Finish: front GT 4-piston 345x30mm 1-piece kit: black, red, yellow, and fluorescent yellow; front GT 4-piston 355x32mm kit: black, red, and silver; front GT 6-piston 355x32mm kit: black, red, silver, yellow, GT-S (black hard-anodized), and GT-R (billet-machined and nickel-plated); all PISTA kits: Brembo's standard PISTA finish. A finish that a kit does not offer cannot be selected for it.
• Disc Type: drilled discs suit street driving and give good wet-weather bite; Type 3 Slotted is aimed at regular track days; Type 3L Slotted is a PISTA race disc; Type 5 Slotted is a PISTA race disc for long, hot sessions. Offered as follows: Drilled and Type 3 Slotted on the front GT 4-piston 345x30mm 1-piece kit, front GT 4-piston 355x32mm kit, and front GT 6-piston 355x32mm kit; Type 3L Slotted on the front PISTA 6-piston 355x32mm kit; Type 3 Slotted and Type 5 Slotted on the front PISTA 6-piston 355x35mm kit.

GT kits: add the finish code to the base part number for the exact part: 1 black, 2 red, 3 silver, 5 yellow, 7 fluorescent yellow, S GT-S, R GT-R. Replacement and upgrade pads for these calipers are sold separately.

Is there a rear kit for the 8V A3?
Brembo's current application list has front kits only for the Audi A3 (8V).

Which kit should I choose?
For a street car, the GT 4-piston kit with one-piece discs is the simplest upgrade. The 355mm GT kits use two-piece discs and offer more finishes. The PISTA kits are race systems for cars that run long, hot track sessions.

What is the difference between the GT and PISTA kits?
GT kits are built for road use and track days and come in several caliper finishes. PISTA kits are Brembo's race systems, with disc springs and a centering ring as standard, for cars that run long, hot track sessions.

Will these kits fit my wheels?
Every big brake kit needs wheel clearance, and the 355mm kits need the most room on the A3. Send us your wheel size and offset and we will check them against Brembo's clearance data before you order.

Fitment Notes

Brembo lists all kits on this page for the Audi A3 (8V). US-market 8V A3 cars carry 2015-2020 model years. Brembo GT systems are designed for cars at original ride height. Raising the ride height is not compatible with the brake lines included in these systems. The GT-R 6-piston caliper needs different wheel clearance from the GT 6-piston caliper.
