Brembo Big Brake Kits for Audi B8 S4 (2010-2016)

This page lists every Brembo big brake kit we offer for the Audi S4 (B8 and B8.5), sold in the US for the 2010-2016 model years. There are four front kits and one rear kit: GT 6-piston front kits on 380x32mm or 380x34mm two-piece discs, a PISTA 6-piston race kit on 380x35mm two-piece discs, and a GT 4-piston rear kit on 380x28mm two-piece discs. The B8 S4 has a supercharged 3.0-liter V6 that gains a lot of power from a pulley and tune, and once the car is faster the factory front brakes are often the next upgrade. A Brembo system replaces the caliper and disc on the axle you choose with a matched caliper, disc and pad package, sold as a complete axle set.

The GT 6-piston kit on 380x32mm discs comes in black, red, silver, yellow, GT-S hard-anodized black or GT-R nickel-plated billet, with drilled, Type 1 slotted or Type 3 slotted discs. On 380x34mm discs there are two GT 6-piston caliper families. The N caliper comes in black, red, silver, yellow, GT-S hard-anodized black or GT-R nickel-plated billet. The T caliper comes in black, red, yellow or fluorescent yellow. Both kits are offered with drilled, Type 1 slotted or Type 3 slotted discs. The PISTA kit is Brembo's race system, with disc springs and a centering ring, on 380x35mm two-piece discs with Type 3 or Type 5 slotted discs. The GT 4-piston rear kit comes in the same six finishes as the 380x32mm front kit, with drilled, Type 1 slotted or Type 3 slotted discs.

Please note: Brembo marks the GT 4-piston rear kit NOT FOR ROAD USE, because it eliminates the parking/emergency brake function. It is meant for track cars only. For a street car, choose a front kit.

Choosing Your Kit

• Kit: Four front kits are listed first: a GT 6-piston kit on 380x32mm discs, a GT 6-piston kit on 380x34mm discs (N caliper family), a GT 6-piston kit on 380x34mm discs (T caliper family), and a PISTA 6-piston kit on 380x35mm discs. Then comes one rear kit: a GT 4-piston kit on 380x28mm discs. Each kit name gives the axle, the system (GT or PISTA), the piston count and the disc size.
• Finish: front GT 6-piston 380x32mm kit, front GT 6-piston 380x34mm kit (N caliper), and rear GT 4-piston 380x28mm kit: black, red, silver, yellow, GT-S (black hard-anodized), and GT-R (billet-machined and nickel-plated); front GT 6-piston 380x34mm kit (T caliper): black, red, yellow, and fluorescent yellow; the PISTA kit: Brembo's standard PISTA finish. A finish that a kit does not offer cannot be selected for it.
• Disc Type: drilled discs suit street driving and give good wet-weather bite; Type 1 Slotted is a street and occasional-track disc; Type 3 Slotted is aimed at regular track days; Type 5 Slotted is a PISTA race disc for long, hot sessions. Offered as follows: Drilled, Type 1 Slotted, and Type 3 Slotted on the front GT 6-piston 380x32mm kit, front GT 6-piston 380x34mm kit (N caliper), front GT 6-piston 380x34mm kit (T caliper), and rear GT 4-piston 380x28mm kit; Type 3 Slotted and Type 5 Slotted on the PISTA kit.

FAQ

Which model years does this cover?
Brembo lists the kits for the S4 (B8) 2009-2016. In the US the B8 S4 was sold from the 2010 model year through 2016.

Can I use the rear kit on the street?
No. Brembo marks the B8 S4 rear kit "NOT FOR ROAD USE" because it eliminates the parking/emergency brake function. It is for dedicated track cars.

Which kit should I fit first?
Start with one of the GT 6-piston front kits. They are road-legal and keep your parking brake, and the front axle does most of the braking.

What is the difference between the GT and PISTA kits?
GT kits are built for road use and track days and come in several caliper finishes. PISTA kits are Brembo's race systems, with disc springs and a centering ring as standard, for cars that run long, hot track sessions.

Will these kits fit my wheels?
Every big brake kit needs wheel clearance, and the 380mm kits need the most room on the S4. Send us your wheel size and offset and we will check them against Brembo's clearance data before you order.

Fitment Notes

Brembo lists all kits on this page for the Audi S4 (B8) 2009-2016. US-market B8 S4 cars carry 2010-2016 model years. Brembo GT systems are designed for cars at original ride height. Raising the ride height is not compatible with the brake lines included in these systems. The GT-R 6-piston caliper needs different wheel clearance from the GT 6-piston caliper.
