Brembo Big Brake Kits for BMW F15 X5 (2014-2018)

This page lists every Brembo big brake kit we offer for the third-generation BMW X5 (F15), sold in the US for the 2014-2018 model years as the sDrive35i, xDrive35i, xDrive35d, xDrive40e and xDrive50i. The F15 is a heavy SUV, and many owners tow with it or drive it hard on mountain roads. A Brembo GT kit adds braking capacity and a firmer pedal for that kind of use. A Brembo system replaces the caliper and disc on the axle you choose with a matched caliper, disc and pad package, sold as a complete axle set.

On the front you can choose a GT 6-piston kit on 405x34mm two-piece discs in two caliper families (N and T). On the rear there are two GT 4-piston kits on 380x28mm two-piece discs, one with the P caliper and one with the S caliper.

The N caliper front kit and the P caliper rear kit come in black, red, silver, yellow, GT-S hard-anodized black or GT-R nickel-plated billet. The T caliper front kit and the S caliper rear kit come in black, red, yellow or fluorescent yellow. The front kits are offered with drilled or Type 3 slotted discs, and the rear kits with drilled, Type 1 slotted or Type 3 slotted discs.

Choosing Your Kit

• Kit: Two front kits are listed first: a GT 6-piston kit on 405x34mm discs (N caliper family) and a GT 6-piston kit on 405x34mm discs (T caliper family). Then come two rear kits: a GT 4-piston kit on 380x28mm discs (P caliper family) and a GT 4-piston kit on 380x28mm discs (S caliper family). Each kit name gives the axle, the system (GT or PISTA), the piston count and the disc size.
• Finish: front GT 6-piston 405x34mm kit (N caliper) and rear GT 4-piston 380x28mm kit (P caliper): black, red, silver, yellow, GT-S (black hard-anodized), and GT-R (billet-machined and nickel-plated); front GT 6-piston 405x34mm kit (T caliper) and rear GT 4-piston 380x28mm kit (S caliper): black, red, yellow, and fluorescent yellow. A finish that a kit does not offer cannot be selected for it.
• Disc Type: drilled discs suit street driving and give good wet-weather bite; Type 1 Slotted is a street and occasional-track disc; Type 3 Slotted is aimed at regular track days. Offered as follows: Drilled and Type 3 Slotted on the front GT 6-piston 405x34mm kit (N caliper) and front GT 6-piston 405x34mm kit (T caliper); Drilled, Type 1 Slotted, and Type 3 Slotted on the rear GT 4-piston 380x28mm kit (P caliper) and rear GT 4-piston 380x28mm kit (S caliper).

Which F15 models do these fit?
Brembo lists the kits for the X5 (F15) 2014-2018. In the US that covers the sDrive35i, xDrive35i, xDrive35d, xDrive50i and the xDrive40e plug-in hybrid.

Do these kits fit the X5 M?
No. The X5 M (F85) has its own page, so order from that page for an X5 M.

What is the difference between the N and T caliper kits?
Both are 6-piston GT calipers on the same disc size. Brembo lists them as two caliper families with different finish choices: the N caliper offers silver, GT-S and GT-R, and the T caliper offers fluorescent yellow.

What is the difference between the two rear kits?
Both are GT 4-piston rear kits on the same 380x28mm two-piece disc. Brembo lists them as two caliper families with different finish choices: the P caliper comes in black, red, silver, yellow, GT-S or GT-R, and the S caliper comes in black, red, yellow or fluorescent yellow.

Which kit should I fit first?
Start with a front kit. The front axle does most of the braking on the X5, so that is where a bigger caliper and disc make the biggest difference. Add a rear kit later for balance and matching looks.

Will these kits fit my wheels?
Every big brake kit needs wheel clearance, and the 405mm kits need the most room on the X5. Send us your wheel size and offset and we will check them against Brembo's clearance data before you order.

Fitment Notes

Brembo lists all kits on this page for the BMW X5 (F15) 2014-2018. Brembo GT systems are designed for cars at original ride height. Raising the ride height is not compatible with the brake lines included in these systems. The GT-R 6-piston caliper needs different wheel clearance from the GT 6-piston caliper.
