Every Brembo big brake kit we offer for the Porsche 911 GT2 (997) is on this page: a GT 6-piston front kit on 380x34mm two-piece discs and a GT 4-piston rear kit on 380x28mm two-piece discs, each listed separately for the 2008-2009 GT2 and the 2011 GT2 RS. The 997 GT2 is a rear-wheel-drive, twin-turbo 911, and the GT2 RS was the most powerful 911 of its time, so brake capacity and pedal consistency matter on a fast road or a track day. A Brembo system replaces the caliper and disc on the axle you choose with a matched caliper, disc and pad package, sold as a complete axle set.
Each kit name starts with the car it fits, because Brembo uses a different part number for the GT2 and the GT2 RS. All four kits use Type 3 slotted discs and come in black, red, yellow or fluorescent yellow. Brembo notes that both front kits reuse the OEM brake lines, and that the disc bells in the GT2 2008-2009 kits are finished in natural hard anodize, which looks greyish rather than black.

Brembo's own short overview of its GT big brake kits. The calipers, finishes and discs in the video are examples; the kit you get is the one you select above.
| Kit | Caliper | Disc | Disc types | Finishes | Brembo part no. (base) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| GT2 2008-2009: Front GT 6-Piston 380x34mm | 6-piston Brembo GT | 380x34mm 2-piece | Type 3 Slotted | Black, Red, Yellow, Fluorescent Yellow | 1T3.9015A |
| GT2 2008-2009: Rear GT 4-Piston 380x28mm | 4-piston Brembo GT | 380x28mm 2-piece | Type 3 Slotted | Black, Red, Yellow, Fluorescent Yellow | 2S3.9018A |
| GT2 RS 2011: Front GT 6-Piston 380x34mm | 6-piston Brembo GT | 380x34mm 2-piece | Type 3 Slotted | Black, Red, Yellow, Fluorescent Yellow | 1T3.9016A |
| GT2 RS 2011: Rear GT 4-Piston 380x28mm | 4-piston Brembo GT | 380x28mm 2-piece | Type 3 Slotted | Black, Red, Yellow, Fluorescent Yellow | 2S3.9019A |
GT kits: add the finish code to the base part number for the exact part: 1 black, 2 red, 3 silver, 5 yellow, 7 fluorescent yellow, S GT-S, R GT-R. Replacement and upgrade pads for these calipers are sold separately.
Why are there separate GT2 and GT2 RS kits?
Brembo lists a separate part number for each car. Choose the kit that starts with your car: GT2 2008-2009 or GT2 RS 2011.
Do the front kits include brake lines?
No. Brembo notes that the GT2 and GT2 RS front systems retain the OEM brake lines.
Why are the disc bells grey on the GT2 kits?
Brembo finishes the disc bells in the GT2 2008-2009 systems in natural hard anodize, which has a greyish color instead of the black used on most GT systems.
Which disc types are offered?
All four kits on this page use Type 3 slotted discs.
Will these kits fit my wheels?
Every big brake kit needs wheel clearance, and the 380mm kits need the most room on the GT2. Send us your wheel size and offset and we will check them against Brembo's clearance data before you order.
Brembo lists the kits on this page for the Porsche 997 GT2 and 997 GT2 RS. In the US, the 997 GT2 was sold for the 2008-2009 model years and the GT2 RS for 2011. Brembo GT systems are designed for cars at original ride height. Raising the ride height is not compatible with the brake lines included in these systems.
Brembo application notes for specific kits:
Each kit fits the vehicles listed below. Confirm wheel clearance before ordering.
