Brembo Big Brake Kits for Volkswagen Mk6 GTI (2010-2014)

This page lists every Brembo big brake kit we offer for the 2010-2014 Volkswagen GTI (Mk6). They are all front kits, six in total. There are GT 4-piston kits on 330mm and 345mm 1-piece discs, GT 4-piston kits on 355mm and 365mm 2-piece discs, a GT 6-piston kit on 355mm discs, and a PISTA 6-piston race kit. The Mk6 GTI is a light, turbocharged hot hatch, and on a front-drive car the front brakes do most of the work. A Brembo system replaces the caliper and disc on the axle you choose with a matched caliper, disc and pad package, sold as a complete axle set.

Brembo lists all six kits for every Mk6 GTI. The 1-piece kits are the most affordable step up. The 2-piece kits save weight and add capacity for autocross and track days, and the 6-piston kit offers the widest range of finishes.

Choosing Your Kit

• Kit: Six front kits are listed first: a GT 4-piston kit on 330x28mm 1-piece discs, a GT 4-piston kit on 345x30mm 1-piece discs, a GT 4-piston kit on 355x32mm discs, a GT 4-piston kit on 365x29mm discs, a GT 6-piston kit on 355x32mm discs, and a PISTA 6-piston kit on 355x35mm discs. Each kit name gives the axle, the system (GT or PISTA), the piston count and the disc size.
• Finish: front GT 4-piston 330x28mm 1-piece kit and front GT 4-piston 355x32mm kit: black, red, and silver; front GT 4-piston 345x30mm 1-piece kit: black, red, yellow, and fluorescent yellow; front GT 4-piston 365x29mm kit and front GT 6-piston 355x32mm kit: black, red, silver, yellow, GT-S (black hard-anodized), and GT-R (billet-machined and nickel-plated); the PISTA kit: Brembo's standard PISTA finish. A finish that a kit does not offer cannot be selected for it.
• Disc Type: drilled discs suit street driving and give good wet-weather bite; Type 1 Slotted is a street and occasional-track disc; Type 3 Slotted is aimed at regular track days; Type 5 Slotted is a PISTA race disc for long, hot sessions. Offered as follows: Drilled and Type 1 Slotted on the front GT 4-piston 330x28mm 1-piece kit; Drilled and Type 3 Slotted on the front GT 4-piston 345x30mm 1-piece kit, front GT 4-piston 355x32mm kit, and front GT 6-piston 355x32mm kit; Drilled on the front GT 4-piston 365x29mm kit; Type 3 Slotted and Type 5 Slotted on the PISTA kit.

GT kits: add the finish code to the base part number for the exact part: 1 black, 2 red, 3 silver, 5 yellow, 7 fluorescent yellow, S GT-S, R GT-R. Replacement and upgrade pads for these calipers are sold separately.

FAQ

Which kit is the most affordable?
The GT 4-piston kit on 330x28mm 1-piece discs. The 345x30mm 1-piece kit is the next step and comes in black, red, yellow or fluorescent yellow.

What makes the 365x29mm kit different?
It pairs a 4-piston caliper with a large, 2-piece 365mm disc. It is offered with drilled discs only, in black, red, silver, yellow, GT-S or GT-R.

Is there a rear kit?
Brembo lists front kits only for the Mk6 GTI.

Will these kits fit my wheels?
Every big brake kit needs wheel clearance, and the 365mm kits need the most room on the GTI. Send us your wheel size and offset and we will check them against Brembo's clearance data before you order.

Fitment Notes

Brembo lists all kits on this page for the 2010-2014 Volkswagen GTI (Mk6). Brembo GT systems are designed for cars at original ride height. Raising the ride height is not compatible with the brake lines included in these systems. The GT-R 6-piston caliper needs different wheel clearance from the GT 6-piston caliper.
