Overview

The AMS Alpha Mercedes-Benz AMG M133 2.0L Performance Air Filter and CNC Aluminum Adapter (part number ALP.19.08.0001-1) is a simple way to free up power on the CLA45 and GLA45. Mercedes designed the factory intake to keep turbo noise down, and in doing so restricted airflow. AMS found significant pressure drop at the 2.6" factory filter inlet.

This kit replaces it with a smooth transition to a much larger 4" filter, cutting that pressure drop and letting the turbo breathe. AMS reports a gain of more than 20 horsepower from this change alone, and you will hear the turbo spool more clearly.

Unlike open-element filters that pull hot engine-bay air, the Alpha filter stays inside the factory sealed airbox, so it keeps drawing cool outside air with the hood closed. Installation is non-invasive and fully reversible.

FAQ

Does it fit the A45?
AMS lists the A45, but it was not sold in the US. This page covers the US CLA45 and GLA45.

Do I need a tune?
No. It works on the stock calibration.

Is the airbox modified?
No. The filter fits inside the factory sealed airbox.

Returns: Unused items in brand-new condition and original packaging can be returned within 30 days of the invoice date, with a 25% restocking fee unless otherwise specified. In some cases we can offer a lower fee with the balance as store credit. Shipping charges aren't refundable in either direction unless approved by AutoTalent.

Not returnable: special-order or custom items, and anything that has been installed, modified or altered.
