AWE Touring Edition Exhaust for 2017-2021 Honda Civic Type R FK8

The AWE Touring Edition Exhaust is the FK8 Civic Type R cat-back for drivers who want the K20C1 to sound properly special without a headache on the highway. Honda's factory system hides a great turbo four behind a lot of muffling. AWE replaces it from the downpipe back with a full 3-inch system, an integrated front pipe and a bespoke stamped stainless trident merge feeding three 4.5-inch double-walled slash-cut tips that keep the FK8's center-exit look.

Two parts give the Touring Edition its character. At the rear is AWE's patented 180 Technology® muffler, tuned specifically for the K20. It is straight-through, so flow stays unrestricted, but its chambers cancel the droning frequencies the engine makes at cruising speed. In the middle sits AWE's DualPhase mid pipe, engineered for extra sound tuning when the car is running an aftermarket downpipe, so the tone stays refined as you modify. The result is a deep, full voice that wakes up under boost and settles down when you cruise.

AWE measured up to 5 hp and 9 lb-ft of torque at the wheels. Every pipe is CNC mandrel-bent from U.S.-sourced .065-inch wall T304L stainless steel and welded in-house, and the system is a direct bolt-on with factory-like simplicity.

Do I need a tune?
No. It is a bolt-on cat-back and AWE guarantees no check engine light.

How do I look after Vapor Blue tips?
Vapor Blue tips carry no AWE warranty; wash them gently and do not use metal polish on them.

Can I make it louder later?

Fitment Notes

• Built for U.S.-market 2017-2021 Honda Civic Type R (FK8) hatchbacks, including the 2021 Limited Edition. AWE only confirms fitment on U.S. models, so it is not offered for other markets. It does not fit the FL5 Civic Type R or the FK7 Civic Sport and Si.
• Each system includes its own integrated front pipe and bolts to the factory downpipe flange, so do not pair it with a separate aftermarket front pipe.
• Direct bolt-on to the factory mounting points; no tune required.
