AWE Track Edition Exhaust for 2022-2026 Volkswagen GTI

The AWE Track Edition Exhaust for the 2022-2026 Volkswagen GTI is the aggressive half of AWE's Mk8 GTI exhaust suite. Where the Touring Edition carries a 180 Technology® resonator in its mid section, the Track Edition runs a straight Track mid section, so the 2.0T is heard loud and clear. AWE has been in the GTI market since 1991 and calls this system the result of three decades of performance engineering.

The cat-back is handcrafted from CNC mandrel-bent 3" and 2.5" U.S.-sourced T304L stainless steel with a .065" wall, keeps a resonated front section, and uses a clean, straight-through design that AWE says maximizes performance, with strong low and mid-range torque gains on the factory downpipe and software. A slip-fit inlet adapter gives perfect factory downpipe fitment while leaving an open 3" connection, and 5" double-walled slash-cut tips, individually adjustable for depth, finish it in Chrome Silver or Diamond Black. If it proves too much, the Track-to-Touring Conversion Kit adds the 180 Technology® resonator back.

Is it street legal?
AWE lists this system as 50 State Legal because it does not tamper with any emissions control or monitoring devices; it bolts on behind the catalytic converters. AWE does not publish a CARB Executive Order number for it, and local sound limits vary, so check the rules where you drive.

How loud is the Track Edition?
AWE describes it as the aggressive edition. It drops the 180 Technology® resonator for a straight mid section, so it is clearly louder than the drone-free Touring Edition. Listen to the clip above before you order.

Does it fit the factory downpipe?
Yes. AWE includes a slip-fit inlet adapter that connects to the factory downpipe while leaving an open 3" connection, so the adapter can come out later if you move to a larger aftermarket downpipe.

Can I tone it down later?
Yes. The Track-to-Touring Conversion Kit swaps the straight mid section for the 180 Technology® Touring mid section, turning it into a Touring Edition.

Do I need a tune?
No. It is a direct bolt-on cat-back with no ECU changes, and AWE backs it with its No Check Engine Light Guarantee.

Fitment Notes

• Fits the 2022-2026 GTI hatchback with the 2.0T, manual or DSG. It does not fit the Golf R, the Jetta GLI or the 2015-2021 Mk7/Mk7.5 GTI.
• The factory hangers and the factory sleeve clamp are reused with the AWE system.
• Direct bolt-on to the factory mounting points; no tune required.
• AWE does not accept returns of the Track Edition for sound preference, so please listen to the clip above before ordering.
