Important Note: This system is not compatible with vehicles equipped with PSE (Porsche Sport Exhaust). It is specifically for use with the Capristo CES-3 Module.
The iconic CAPRISTO Valved Exhaust System offers a perfect balance between aggressive performance and refined city driving. It achieves this through advanced vacuum-actuated valve flaps that adjust based on driving conditions and driver input:
- Cruise Mode: At lower engine speeds and during cruising, the valves are closed, providing a deeper exhaust note.
- Sport Mode: At lower RPMs and during hard acceleration, the valves open to deliver a more aggressive exhaust sound.
- Open Mode: The valves remain open, unleashing the full symphony of the engine.
CES-3 Control Module
The exhaust valves are backpressure-controlled and user-programmable via the included CES-3 Control Module. This module offers three modes operated through a remote key fob:
- Cruise: Valves open at higher RPMs.
- Sport: Valves open at lower RPMs and during hard acceleration.
- Open: Valves remain permanently open.
Both Cruise and Sport modes can be individually programmed for specific backpressure allowances, allowing for precise control of the exhaust based on personal preferences.
Engineering Excellence
CAPRISTO exhaust systems are crafted using advanced 3D laser-scanning, CAD design, digital prototyping, and CNC bending/milling at our German factory. Each system is made from high-grade T309 (1.4828) stainless steel and hand-polished to a mirror finish. This alloy was chosen for its superior sonic resonance, low weight, and durability, closely resembling Inconel used in F1 racing.
250 Cell Sports Cats
- High Performance: These Sports Catalytic Converters feature a 250-cell-per-square-inch substrate, made from the highest quality materials to improve airflow and increase performance.
- Flow Efficiency: The lower the cell count, the larger the holes in the substrate, which enhances exhaust gas flow. CAPRISTO Sports Cats come in 5.2-inch packages to maximize flow and optimize the valved exhaust system.
The CAPRISTO system improves low RPM torque by providing necessary back pressure and raising the temperature for optimal catalytic converter operation. In open valve condition for high RPMs, it leverages the free-flow characteristics of the Sport Cats to maximize performance.

- Aluminum Alloy Coated Jet Engine Inners: The new Capristo finishing tips are specifically made for the Carrera application, adding a perfect final touch to your Porsche. Available with Red, Black, or Silver Alloy Interiors. WARNING: The color of the anodized coating may change over time.
Installation and Usage
- Direct Installation: The exhaust system is designed to be installed directly into existing OEM mounting points.
- Recommended For: Off-road and track use only.
- CEL Warning: Replacing your OEM catalytic converters may trigger a CEL (Check Engine Light). To address a recurring CEL, you may need to tune the ECU or use O2 sensor extensions.
