AWE Track Edition Exhaust for 2013-2016 Scion FR-S

The AWE Track Edition Exhaust for the 2013-2016 Scion FR-S is the unfiltered option: no rear resonators, a straight-through path, and boxer rumble at full volume both in and out of the cabin, at all speeds. It is the louder of AWE's two cat-backs for the 2.0L FA20.

FR-S owners who autocross, run track days or simply want the car to sound as raw as it drives will appreciate the 12 lb saving AWE lists over stock. A bullet-style resonator in the mid-pipe is the only muffling, the tubing is 3" and 2.5" mandrel-bent T304L stainless, and the 5" double-walled tips carry the AWE logo. AWE warns that Track can be too much for many drivers and cannot be returned for sound preference, so listen first.

Is the AWE Track exhaust legal on an FR-S?
AWE lists this cat-back as 50 State Legal because it does not tamper with any emissions control or monitoring devices; it bolts on behind the catalytic converters. AWE does not publish a CARB Executive Order number for it, and local sound limits vary, so check the rules where you drive.

How loud is the AWE Track exhaust on an FR-S?
Loud. It is the louder of AWE's two editions for the FR-S, with rumble at all speeds both inside and outside the cabin, and AWE says it may be too much for many drivers. AWE does not publish decibel figures.

How much horsepower does it add to a Scion FR-S?
AWE does not publish a dyno result for the 2.0L FA20 in the Scion FR-S. Its only published test is on the newer 2.4L FA24 car, so treat any horsepower claim for the FA20 with caution. What you get is a change in sound and a weight saving, not a quoted horsepower number.

Is this the same exhaust as the Toyota 86 version?
It is the same AWE part number, because the 2013-2016 FR-S and the 2017-2020 Toyota 86 share the ZN6 chassis and 2.0L FA20. It bolts to every US FR-S model year.

Can I switch to the Touring Edition later?
Yes. The AWE Track-to-Touring conversion kit adds the Touring Edition rear section with 180 Technology resonators.
