AWE Track Edition Exhaust for 2017-2020 Toyota 86

The AWE Track Edition Exhaust for the 2017-2020 Toyota 86 is the louder of AWE's two cat-backs for the 2.0L FA20 car. With no rear resonators, it lets the boxer rumble through with minimal filter, inside and outside the cabin, at every speed.

The 86 has always been about light weight and balance, and Track Edition fits that brief: AWE lists it at 12 lbs lighter than stock. It keeps a bullet-style mid-pipe resonator, runs 3" and 2.5" mandrel-bent T304L stainless steel straight through, and ends in 5" double-walled tips you can set to your preferred depth. It is a direct bolt-on with no tune required. AWE says it can get rowdy, so if you want a calmer highway drive in your 86, look at Touring instead.

Is the AWE Track exhaust legal on an 86?
AWE lists this cat-back as 50 State Legal because it does not tamper with any emissions control or monitoring devices; it bolts on behind the catalytic converters. AWE does not publish a CARB Executive Order number for it, and local sound limits vary, so check the rules where you drive.

How loud is the AWE Track exhaust on an 86?
Loud. It is the louder of AWE's two editions for the 86, with rumble at all speeds both inside and outside the cabin, and AWE says it may be too much for many drivers. AWE does not publish decibel figures.

How much horsepower does it add to a Toyota 86?
AWE does not publish a dyno result for the 2.0L FA20 in the Toyota 86. Its only published test is on the newer 2.4L FA24 car, so treat any horsepower claim for the FA20 with caution. What you get is a change in sound and a weight saving, not a quoted horsepower number.

Will it fit a 2017 Special Edition or a 2020 Hakone Edition 86?
Yes. It fits every 2017-2020 US Toyota 86, including the Base, GT, 2017 Special Edition, 2019 TRD Special Edition and 2020 Hakone Edition. For the 2022 and newer car, see the GR86 version.
