Q50 / Q60 downpipes

AMS makes four VR30 downpipes. Lowers replace the factory cat section; fulls run from the turbo outlets back: Race Lower Downpipes (catless), Street Lower Downpipes (GESI cats), Race Full Downpipes (catless), Street Full Downpipes (catted).

Heat exchangers and intercoolers

The VR30 uses water-to-air intercoolers, so the heat exchanger is the first cooling upgrade most owners make: Q50 / Q60 heat exchanger, Red Alpha Race heat exchanger, Counter-Flow VR30 intercoolers, auxiliary intercooler pump kit, Q50 auxiliary intercooler tank, Q60 auxiliary intercooler tank.

Intakes and intake manifolds

AMS cold air intake kit, Red Alpha carbon fiber cold air intake, port injection lower manifold, replacement intake filters.

Fuel system and flex fuel

Build the fuel system in steps as power and ethanol content go up: CAN Bus flex fuel kit, low pressure fuel pump, RA338 Stage 1 high pressure fuel pump, Stage 2 HPFP, RA405 Stage 3 HPFP, Stage 1 direct injectors, dual in-tank fuel pump system.

Driveline and engine

AWD one-piece driveshaft, RWD one-piece driveshaft, Wavetrac R190 limited slip differential, helical rear LSD, VR30 Stage 1 long block.

FAQ

Which AMS downpipes fit my Q50 or Q60?

All four fit the 2016-2024 Q50 and 2017-2022 Q60 3.0t. The Race Lower and Race Full downpipes are catless; the Street Lower uses GESI catalytic converters and the Street Full is catted. Lowers replace only the factory cat section, while fulls also replace the upper pipes.

Do I need a tune after installing downpipes?

Yes. Plan on a tune with any VR30 downpipe so the car runs correctly and makes the expected power. A heat exchanger or intercooler upgrade does not need a tune by itself.

Do these parts fit the Nissan Z?

The 2023+ Nissan Z uses the same VR30DDTT engine. Parts with "Z" in the title, such as the fuel pumps and injectors, are the same AMS part number for all three cars. Z-specific AMS parts are listed separately.

What is AMS Red Alpha?

Red Alpha is AMS Performance's product line for the Infiniti VR30 platform. Red Alpha and AMS-branded parts on this page are both made by AMS.

Which fuel upgrade do I need for E85?

It depends on your power goal and ethanol content. Most builds start with the flex fuel kit and low pressure pump, then add a high pressure pump and injectors as power goes up. Call us with your setup and we will help you choose.
